Yearlong Timbercup Race

The Champion Golfer of the year is determined through the accumulation of Timbercup points each week that we play. 

• Weekly points are determined by how many players you beat each week based on the percentage of points needed that each player made. Players are sorted by the percentage of their points needed to what they actually made and then one point is assigned for each player that they beat percentage-wise.  In addition: each flight winner will receive 5 bonus points, 2nd in each flight will receive 3 bonus points, and 3rd in each flight will receive 2 bonus points each week.

• Points are also earned by playing in our five tournaments; Partners Tournament, Spring/Fall Scrambles, Summer Tournament, and the Timberlake Championship Series. The following is the breakdown of the points assigned per tournament:

• Partners Tournament - 100 points each for winning team down to 5 points each for the last place team.

• Spring/Fall Scrambles - 30 points for each member of the winning team , 20 points each for 2nd place, 10 points each for  3rd, all other participants -2 points each position to a minimum of 2 points.
  
• Summer Tournament (2 or 3 flights) - 75 points for each flight winner and 25 points for each group winner, 5 points each for all entrants.
  
• Timberlake Championship Series (3 weeks -individual by flight) -  bonus points each week for where you finish in your flight. 

• The champion golfer of the year trophy will be awarded immediately following the conclusion of the Timberlake Championship Series.  At that time everyone's points are reset to zero and a new year begins.
